We had been out for breakfast at Ponderosa that morning and had a delicious breakfast. Oliver had a cooked breakfast followed by pancakes and then a bowlful of strawberries... not a wise move!
On the way to Wet n Wild Oliver had been complaining of a bellyache and I told him he shouldn't have eaten so much for breakfast! We got to Wet and Wild and was putting our stuff in one of the lockers. All of a sudden I looked down to find the floor in front of the lockers covered in pink vomit... It was also up my legs and Oliver's legs. Suddenly Oliver felt a lot better! I could'nt believe it.... It was everywhere. We stood around it and tried warning people not to tread in it while Paul went off to find somebody to clean it up. He found a member of staff, but after 20 minutes he still hadn't turned up. Paul went and found him again but he said he was busy and would get there soon. After another 15-20 minutes the guy still hadn't turned up so we just left it. We couldn't spend all day standing around a locker!
Turns out that Americans don't seem to mind walking through pink vomit. To be fair, it did look like a strawberry milkshake had been spilled, but people were just walking through it, despite us telling them to avoid it!
We washed ourselves off in the toilets and went off to find some slides, but weren't there long before we decided to head somewhere else. It just seemed very old and dated, compared to Aquatica which was bright and colourful and shiney and new.
Aquatica was fantastic! Especially Roa's Rapids. We couldn't stay away from it! A brilliant winding fast paced river which just carries you downstream.
I did take some photos while we were in Roa's Rapids, but they were taken on a waterproof disposable camera and didn't come out too well.
Roa's Rapids |
Oliver loved the water play area. Especially the huge buckets of water which emptied sporadically |
Oliver and I loved Roa's Rapids. Every time Paul tried to get off we dragged him back to go around again! It was so much fun. Everytime we got to the water showers Oliver tried to avoid them by ducking under the water, but Paul kept picking him up so he got a face full of water!
